DAY 1, 2, 3: Lamu : Peponi Hotel
Take a one-hour and fifteen minutes flight from Nairobi
to Lamu an Island that sits in the warm waters of the
Indian Ocean off the Kenya coast. Lamu has somehow
forgotten to keep up with the rest of the world and has
remained in its own time warp. The streets are narrow
and the donkeys are the main types of transport. Lamu is
one of Kenya’s oldest towns and it has retained all the
charm and characteristic built over many centuries. You
will be able to interact with the Swahili people,
explore the beautiful town of Lamu and sail to the Lamu
archipelago area with the traditional boats called
dhows. Accommodation is at the first class Peponi Hotel,
which is a beautiful hotel where you can relax and spend
your day strolling on the white sand beach. During your
stay in Lamu there will not be anything planned for you
to do. We have found in the past that people like to
take this time to relax, walk on the beach, and plan
outings that they find of interest to them. The staff at
The Peponi Hotel, who we have worked with for many
years, will assist you in organizing day trips and
outings. Breakfasts included.
DAY 4: Lamu / Homeward Bound
Leave Lamu in the late morning and fly back to Nairobi.
Enjoy a farewell dinner at the Carnivore restaurant

EXTENSION # 2: Explore the Waters of Malindi
COST: $ 1,050.00 per person - domestic flights included

DAY 1, 2, 3: Malindi : Driftwood Club or Similar
Take a one-hour flight to Malindi, one of the oldest
towns along the East African Coast, that has remained a
popular port of call for centuries for all the ships
that followed the route around The Cape of Good Hope
from South Africa to India. The Malindi National Park
and Watamu National Reserve makes Malindi a popular
place for good diving and snorkeling with a great
variety of fish. Breakfasts included.
DAY 4: Malindi / Homeward Bound
Leave Malindi in the late morning and fly back to
Nairobi. Enjoy a farewell dinner at the Carnivore
restaurant before your evening flight. Breakfast and

EXTENSION # 3: The Kenyan Coast

DAY 1, 2: Malindi : Driftwood Club or Similar
Take a 1 hour and 15 minutes flight to Malindi, one of
the oldest towns along the East African Coast. The
town’s origin can be traced back to the 13th century.
For centuries it has remained a popular port of call for
all ships that followed the route around The Cape of
Good Hope to India. Malindi is a blend of ancient Arab
and Swahili influences, and the 20th century. It has
really nice beaches and well-protected coral reefs to
snorkel and scuba dive around. The Malindi National Park
and Watamu National Reserve makes Malindi a popular
place for scuba diving and snorkeling. Malindi is an
ideal place for those who love a relaxing holiday.
Accommodations are situated along the front beaches and
have excellent service, meals, and air-conditioned rooms
with balconies and verandahs. Breakfasts included.
DAY 3, 4: Lamu : Peponi Hotel
Take a 30-minute flight from Malindi to Lamu, which is a
small island located on the Indian Ocean. Lamu is a
unique island where history stands still. You will be
able to interact with the Swahili people, sail in the
traditional boats called dhows, and explore the
beautiful town of Lamu. You will stay at the Peponi
hotel, which is a beautiful hotel where you can relax

DAY 1, 2, 3: Seychelles: 5 Star Hotel
The Seychelles’s located in the Indian Ocean about 1,000
miles East of the Kenyan coast. It is about 115 islands
with two distinctive large islands Mahe and Praslin.
Seychelles is part of the world’s longest coral reef
system and one of the world’s best diving sites. Coral
reef diving is one of the main sporting attractions in
this beautiful island. The waters are home to more than
800 species of fish and over 100 species of coral. In
addition to the scuba diving, there is excellent
snorkeling, game fishing, fly-fishing, surfing and
windsurfing. Breakfasts included.
DAY 4: Seychelles / Homeward Bound
Leave Seychelles in the late morning and fly back to

EXTENSION # 5: Gorilla Trek in Uganda

GORILLA: 4 DAYS / 3 NIGHT
Day 1: Kampala - Sheraton Hotel
You are met at Entebbe Airport in Kampala, Uganda and
get driven to Sheraton Hotel for the night.
Dinner included.
Day 2: Bwindi National Park: Gorilla Forest Camp
Depart in the morning for Bwindi Impenetrable National
Park. This park is well known for other primates besides
gorillas including the chimpanzees, black and white
headed colubus monkey, red colubus monkey and the Grey
cheeked monkey. Lunch at the Lakeview Hotel in Mbarara.
Arrive in the evening for dinner and stay the night at
Gorilla Forest Camp. Breakfast, lunch and dinner
included.
Day 3: Gorilla Forest Camp
This morning after breakfast, we will meet with
excellent local guides and trackers who will guide us
for a full day in this beautiful montane forest of Bwidi
impenetrable National Park in search of gorillas. The
trekking is strenuous and it can take up to 6 hrs while
you are gaining attitude in excess of about 7,500 ft.
The terrain is rough and muddy and wet at times.
Although the trekking is strenuous and physically
demanding, once you find the gorillas in their natural
surrounding and experience the beauty of them in their
environment it is all worth it! This is the most
profound natural history you will ever experience in the
wilderness of Africa. Overnight at the Camp. Breakfast,
lunch and dinner included.
Day 4: Entebbe / Homeward Bound
Drive back to Entebbe with lunch on the way. Transfer to
the airport for departure flight. Breakfast and lunch is
included.
EXTENSION # 6: The Beauty of Zanzibar Island

DAY 1, 2, 3: Zanzibar Island: 5 Star Hotel
Zanzibar is an island located off the East Coast of the
Indian Ocean. It is probably the best well kept secret
in the Indian Ocean with its fascinating rich history
and culture. The exploration of Zanzibar is uniquely
diverse -- it takes you from amazing beaches to the
narrow streets and bustling market of Stone Town, it’s
historic city. This island is a perfect place to relax
at your seaside cottage overlooking the azure waters of
Indian Ocean. It is also a perfect place to scuba dive
and snorkel! It has a reputation to have some of the

DAY 4: Zanzibar / Homeward Bound

MAASAI WALKING SAFARIS

This is an incredible opportunity to spend 2 – 10 days
walking into the deep Maasai county in the Loita hills
located in the South West part of Kenya. This safari is
unique to AWS trips because we camp, live, learn and
experience the life style and culture of the Maasai
people. We will live as guests to the Maasai near their
Boma Village so that we can interact and experience
their way of life. We will also take walks through the
Loita hills to see the terrain and abundance of wild
life present in this unique Eco - system.
HADZA TRIBE THE HUNTER AND GATHERERS
Cost = $ 225. 00 per person per day
On this walking trek you can spend 3 – 6 days in the
remote region of the Rift Valley into the land of the
Hadza tribe. The Hadza tribe have had limited
interaction with western culture and live as their
ancestors did, subsisting on the realm of simplicity.
They are Tanzania’s last true hunter and gatherers. Our
days will be spent tracking game and collecting honey
with the extremely knowledgeable people of the Hadza
tribe.
